A medium-bodied, copper-colored ale with a touch of malty sweetness balanced by mild Yakima hops

Had this beer in the Reno airport on tap. Nice brown to amber color with almost no head. Can smell the hops and malt on the nose. Taste is solid for American Amber style. Perfect carbonation. Nice malt backbone with bitter hops on the finish. Alcohol is well hidden and almost imperceptable. Quality handcrafted beer for Reno area. Throughly enjoyed a couple of pints after 5 days in the desert.

Comes out of the tap a clear amber - average, but acceptable. Malty aroma has a hint of wood. Malty flavor is rather hoppy and has a firm hint of apple. Smooth, fizzy texture has average body but this is still a satisfying and refreshing amber ale. Give it a try.

Looks great, a beautiful copper color that is quite promising. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to those expectations. Definitely passable, but also way too watery for my tastes. Easy to drink, but very much overshadowed by many other selections on tap and doesn't stand up to most other amber ales.

Sampled at the brewery on 4/13/08.
