Dunkelweizen, or “dark wheat”, beers are complex in their combination of chocolate and roasted malts with the traditional banana, clove and vanilla flavors that characterize hefeweizen beers.

Comes out of the tap a dark translucent mahogany with a thick tan head that leaves some generous lacing. Strong, malty aroma has spicy and smoky notes. Flavor has a malty core and notes of molasses, chocolate, cloves and burnt hops. Firm body has good fizz. A winner!
