Poured a nice brown color, a little lighter than some but this seems to be normal for the English version. Smell is nutty and a little roasty, but subdued.
Tastes pretty good, again roasty and nutty. A nice crisp English-style hop finish.
Mouthfeel is definitely thin in a negative way. Not too bad, but definitely an issue.
Overall this is a pretty good nut brown ale but not as good as several of their other beers.
Sampled at the brewery on 4/13/08.
