Copenhagen 21/5 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. Simple white label with Indslevs elegant logo with a soaring swan in black.

Pours slightly unclear yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Dissipates immediately. No lacing.

Aroma is of wheat and a little candylike. Sweet lemonade, white sugar and a bit of orange,

Soft carbonation is subdued. Oil, almost flat texture.

Flavor follows the nose. Very distinct wheat - sweetish and candy-like. Aftertaste is rather sweet as well with almost no bitterness.

Quite fine if you are into Weiss beer. But I do miss my hops.

Oct. 2011: 500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 4.9%. Very cloudy brownish yellow colour, large white head. Typical hefeweizen aroma of cloves and banana. The medium dry flavour has also moderate notes of cloves, even more moderate notes of banana. Refreshing and very drinkable - maybe not the greatest h.w. around, but good enough for me.

The colour is gold-orange (10 EBC), the liquid is hazy. The three finger head is off-white. It sinks slowly leaving some lacing.

The smell is spicy and somewhat sour with some alcohol and quite a lot of sweet bread-like notes. Cloves, allspice and a touch of nutmeg. Ripe apples and fruit candy.

The taste is a bit thick and sweet. Spices and hints of plastic. Some roasted nutty flavours. Sour bread-like flavours and a light fruity bitterness. Some metal. Medium body. The aftertaste is semi-sweet with growing notes of mature bananas and banana peels. Frowsy sweet notes and fruit jam in the finish.

The carbonation is medium strong, there are many mid-sized smooth bubbles. The liquid is a bit sticky.

An OK hefeweizen. It is probably better when is is really fresh.

A clouded dark straw colored brew, a white quickly settling head, little lacing and few curtains.

Smelling dusty, spices and some fruit.

Sweet wheat bread, orange and cardamom seeds.

Medium low carbonation, soft with a moderate body, a light dryness.

A straight nice hefe weissen.

I had this beer in my cellar for more than ten months when i noticed that the expiredate was the 25th of june 2010.

It was time to drink this one from Denmark. I got this one in a trade with the Cracked kettleshop in Amsterdam.

I poured the beer in my Struise glass. The beer is not very carbonated but the view was good. A big nice head and a slightly darkyellow fluid.

Good smell but a bit too heavy for a weizenbeer as i know them from Germany. Smell some banana and bread.

A good taste, i liked the beer drinking it. The mouthfeel was better than normal but like i said with the bit heavy smell the mouthfeel was also a bit more like a normal ale.

If you see one? Try it!
