Copenhagen 20/4 2017. 37,5 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Bottle with a cork stopper which was pretty hard to get out. Old barrel on the label - not especially original.
Pours hazy dark brown with small off-white head. Disappears more or less leaving thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass.
Aroma is heavy sweet. Sweet plum, a load of sugar, sherry, fermentation and subdued sour twist.
Quite strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is heavy sweet and a little sugary followed by medium sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet sherry. Lingering.
More liqueur wine than brandy. Somewhat too sweet - and could use a little more booze.
