Påske Hvede is yellow like light amber and is a fresh and fruity wheat beer with lots of floral aroma. We thought about the dawning spring when we brewed it. The beer is particularly suitable for a good Easter lunch with fjord shrimp, asparagus and all the crispy, Danish spring cuisine. Or simply for the first sunny afternoons under a blue sky. Serve the beer cellar-cold in a spacious glass, so that the aroma and foam can unfold.

Copenhagen 12/3 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Blue label with a yellow ribbon and a snowdrop to signify that this is a Easter seasonal.
Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with a white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam.
Aroma is fruity but not in the lemonade-like way that’s characteristic of many wheat beers. Citrus sourness and a bit tart.
Fizzy carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is quite sweet without tasting like lemonade. Medium bitterness with a little sourness in the aftertaste.
Pretty light and fresh spring beer. Easily forgotten but very refreshing.
