Mørk Hvede is fruity and full of notes of citrus, banana, ripe apples and cloves.
Mørk Hvede is our interpretation of the Bavarian dunkelweizen tradition, which dates back to around 800 BC. In fact, the oldest traces of beer brewing in Europe come from a dark wheat beer set in a grave in Franconia.
Enjoy it at the lunch table, with open sandwiches, charcuterie or cold and warm Danish summer dishes with fish and shellfish. Best enjoyed cellar-cold at 6-8 degrees. Pour the beer into a wheat beer glass and give it plenty of time to settle.

Copenhagen 4/5 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. Golden label with Indslev's elegant swan-logo in pale yellow.
Pours hazy light brown with a yellowish head. A bit bubbly. Dissipates almost immediately to thin patches of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is of wheat and fruit - a little whiff oranges. Sweet lemonade with a touch of bananas.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery and lively texture.
Flavor is sweet. Wheat and some notes of banana.
Solid but way too sweet for my taste buds.
