330mL single picked up in Denmark... Poured into a Dogfish Head IPA glass...
A: Best By date of 18/2/2014. Pours a deep, golden orange; cream, 3-finger head of meringue foam; retention leaves large swaths of sticky lace... Perfect IPA appearance!
S: Grapefruit; citrus pith; pine; sweet touches of malt, too... A pretty strong, hoppy aroma for a "smaller" IPA.
T: Hop nectar without the booziness; pine resin; a touch dank; pungent citrus; caramel malt foundation; nice.
M: Medium body; high carbonation; about right for 5.9%.
O: I was told this was voted the best Danish beer of 2012... I can see why - a great look... the retention is still going strong and lacing continues; it has a nice hoppy aroma and taste, with a moderate and easy drinking feel. Plus - these are probably my two favorite hop varieties! Wish this was available in the US. At 5.9%, it doesn't get better than this!
