Direct from Mitch & Murray, this imperial coffee stout is our brassy sequel to our iced coffee porter, Coffee is for Closers. Full-bodied and rich, like a modern-day Alec Baldwin.

Dark brown appearance with white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a pleasant coffee malt. Taste is also a pleasant coffee malt that is well worth trying.

A: Pours an opaque jet black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint to moderate chestnut brown + cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of strong aromas of freshly roasted + freshly brewed coffee over the top of moderate to strong aromas of roasted + caramel + toasted + dark malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness and a hint of charred malts.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of roasted + caramel + toasted + dark malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness and a hint of charred malts. That is followed by strong flavors of freshly roasted + freshly brewed coffee. There are slightly stronger than moderate amounts of lingering roasty bitterness.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Drinks pretty easily with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a really pleasant coffee presence.
