Pours a light murky yellow. Very much a NEIPA in appearance. Nose is muted as is common in the style. The flavor is where this beer shines. Some grassy, white wine notes with tropical undertones. Nice mouthfeel. Well done. This is one of Fullsteam’s best beers.

Appearance: Arrives at the bar with a goldenstraw-colored murky liquid; the head is thin and leaves a few strands
Smell: Papaya and grapefruit pith tones waft
Taste: Papaya forward with the grapefruit pith building; the middle is moderately bitter with the pith tones lingering in the aftertaste; rather dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A bit of a hybrid, I would say - a New England IPA with a nod to the west coast in the finish

Canned 8/18/2017. Poured into Fullsteam pint glass. It pours a cloudy, dirty golden color with a frothy, cream white head and soapy lacing. It lacks the turbidity of the more famous "NE" IPAs. The nose is rather subdued; mostly malt, light lemon peel, and some pine and floral hops. Although it's called a "NE" IPA, White Lily lacks the fruitiness usually associated with that style but it has a nice bite from the citra, motueka, and amarillo hops. It also features the malt base characteristic of a "southern" IPA. It's really a hybrid but a really good one. This ale features a medium body with pleasant carbonation, and it's really quaffable despite its 7% ABV. It's really hard to drink just one. Overall, this is a well-crafted and brewed American IPA. There's no need to get caught up in whether it's "New England" or not. Just enjoy it for what it is.
