The date code landed a little weird on the bottom of the can, obscuring the month, leaving only the day/year: 21/2020.
Appearance: Gently hazed, dull golden body with a quickly dissipating, whitish head.
Smell: Lightly grainy, some little stemmy, husky accents with a noted tang of malted wheat. Hops contribute herbal, lightly piney, citrusy notes. It's not particularly aromatic, nor is it too intriguing - it's just sorta fine.
Taste: Lightly bready barley with lightly tangy and that all too familiar rawness from the inclusion of coarse, unmalted oat/wheats/barley. Tangerine, lemon citrus with a hint of pith and citric acidity atop bitter, wet herb and light, resiny pine. Moderate bitterness. Slight chalkiness precedes the tangy, lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: So-so.
