Sampled on-tap at the brewpub in April 2006.
This IPA poured a clear, amber color with white foam that settled but clung to the glass in spots. The smell was hoppy with grassy hops and some possibly Amarillo or Simcoe hops notes. The taste was hoppy with bitter and floral hop flavors. There was a good dose of mango fruit flavors from the hops. Nice hop bitterness balanced with good maltiness. There was a faint taste of alcohol, especially in the foam. The mouthfeel was smooth and dry with medium body and low carbonation. The finish was dry with hop bitterness lingering. This was a good DIPA, though the body was thinner than expected. (Note: let it warm up a bit as it was served very cold.)
