The company website says this:
"Problem Child Imperial Porter" an extra strong version of our Black Chip Porter brewed with Molasses and lots of chocolate malt. It is deceptively smooth for as strong as it is in alcohol. It definitely qualifies as a Winter Warmer! 9.5% ABV
A - Wood varnish. Dark dark brown color with a low, dark, chocolate milkshake colored head. Lacing was good.
S - Chocolate, tobacco, lots of complex oils (omega 3). Some fusils, and plenty of roasted malts. It was not a great smell, but I'll give it points for being interesting.
T - Rich, bitter. Some mild, wet hop leaves and tons and tons of ashy-roast taste. I thought of chewing tobacco. Aftertaste of smoke and peppercorn. Wow my eyes are open now. Once again points for creativity.
M - Hard to determine. My mouth is still inside out from the bitterness.
D - Interesting? Yes. However, not that drinkable. Pair this with some greasy foods that can cut through the powerful flavors.
