A newer little brewery right on the main drag in Joseph. It has some nice outdoor seating with a sufficiently sized bar and dining room. All very nice and clean. You can somewhat see the brewing equipment from the bar. It all seems promising.

For what little beers they offer(one or two at a time), they are extremely well made. The wheat they brewed was one of the best examples I've ever had and my wife loved her porter.

This place really needs to get it's act together on service part. We stopped by twice and both times were disappointing. The first time, they only had a porter on tap, so I asked if the PBR cans were tallboys. The bartender said yes, and handed me an already open 12oz can. The second time, the two workers were fighting and completely ignored us at the bar. It was very, very poor service on both visits. No wonder every place in town was busy, but this one.

We stopped by here immediately after arriving in town. I was surprised to find out they only had a porter on tap. They told us to comeback later that weekend and they would have more. Later that weekend, we stopped by again and they had a wheat and ESB on tap. Pretty slim pickings.

One of those places where is it worth it to stop by and have a pint, because the beer alone can be excellent. But just have that one pint and move along. Hopefully, this place improves and survives, because there is a mountain of potential here.

Visited 8.7.2010.

Located on the edge of bucolic Joseph, Mutiny Brewing is the latest addition to the Oregon brewpub scene. There were several patio tables in front of the building located on the town's lone thoroughfare, though the inside was quite nice, polished hardwood floors and works of local artists placed on the walls. A small 6 person bar is located just inside the door. The service was attentive, I was offered tasters of the house beer without asking. Unfortunately, only two beers were on tap a Brown Ale which I didn't try, and an ok Belgian Wit. I didn't have any of the food, though the menu looks interesting. IMHO needs to expand the depth of beer menu. Worth a stop, especially if on a visit to Joseph for summertime fun.
