This one is interesting. I actually took my glass back to the bar, because I was convinced I received some kind of an IPA. Didn't really taste like a barleywine at all, but I really liked it!

On tap at Spokeasy Public House
A: Pours deep amber with a frothy off white head that settles and laces well.
S: Tropical fruit and caramel malt sweetness up front, some citrus, and a little dankness.
T: Typical Knee Deep with a big hop hit, bright citrus orange/tangerine, tropical fruit with mango and a little pineapple, a touch of pine, a little spicy, all with a big caramel malt backbone.
M: Medium to full body, creamy smooth, moderate carbonation.
O: I would say this is hoppier than I expected for the style, but then again it is Knee Deep. Drinks more like a big IPA but still very tasty.

Very disappointing. Was expecting barleywine and instead got something more along the lines of a "triple IPA." Very strong hop aroma and taste. It's not a bad beer, just not appropriate for the style.
