This is a beer that I just can't figure out. It is great looking and smells great with hops tones and bourgon vanilla in the nose. However, it tastes like someone took an IPA and dumped a glass of Jack Daniels in it. No finesse at all; hits you over the head with alcohol and simple bourbon. Not a lot of character in this one. Can't figure this one out to tell you the truth.

Very unique, surprisingly well balanced of tasty IPA and Jack barrel attributes. Didn't expect this to turn out so well. Spendy, but definitely worth it and I'd buy another.

Look- Deep Golden brown hazy color. Nice head poured into a tulip glass
Smell- The Jack Daniel's aging is really present. Caramel notes as well. The high ABV vapors are present on the nose.
Taste- Again the barrel aging is so in your mouth you might think you are drinking a whisky, but its easy on the palette and goes down much smooth than JD. At 12.8 abv alcohol is present but its balanced. The hops that are present in the normal hop de ranged and silenced a lot from the barrel aging. Much more mature version of this awesome creation.
Feel- Smooth, rich, caramel on the tongue. Althought there are a ton of hops the bitterness is balanced by the barrel aging. After having a few sips it gives you the warming sensation you often experience with spirits.

Wow this packs a punch. I started with a Green Bullet to warm my pallet and enjoyed that tremendously. About 45 minutes later I decided to crack this open. Its a mature, warm, and incredibly tasty brew. A very special treat that I wonder how I'm going to actually finish and be standing. Its a sipper for me and normally I dont have that issue with high abv triples. I'm Happy, a special beer to grab and enjoy with a friends.

Had an early taste of this during one of Knee Deep brewery debut parties in MA. Honestly one of the best beers I've had. Body was malty and viscous. Smell was a combination of fruity hops, oak, maple, molasses, marshmallow, and whisky. Flavor was a combination of malty sweet balanced out by whisky alcohol and then followed up by subtle flavor of dark fruit, marshmallow, maple syrup, and vanilla.
