Appearance - Pours near black with cola brown edging and a tan, two-finger width head. Fair retention before settling to a thin, broken layer of suds covering the surface. Strong lacing with broken webbing, lines and some spotting decorating the side of the glass.
Smell - Strong aroma that smacks the nose with plum, booze, roast and a hint of chocolate. Almost reminiscent of fruit cake.
Taste - Follows the nose. Solid roasty, almost smokey malt base with notes of plum, dark chocolate and candi sugar sweetness playing off that. Finishes with a good balance between those flavors and a bit of residual booziness.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a warm, slightly boozy and dry finish.
Overall - Pretty good stout, with a strong dark belgian influence. A bit hot, but not unexpected for an 11% imperial.

Pours a dark brown color with well over a finger of fluffy head. The nose is nicely roasty. The flavor profile is also plenty roasty but the body and drinkability are closer to a standard stout than a double/imperial.

Moderate head leaving a nearly complete blanket of lace on the glass. Near black color. No light passes through the edge.
Mild smell. Light chalky, semisweet cocoa.
Some alcohol on the initial sip with lots of semisweet chocolate. The body thicker than most stouts but the carbonation is also greater than most. The finish is dry, leaving an almost Baker's chocolate aftertaste.
