Poured from a bomber into a tulip
L: Nearly clear light golden pour. Massive foamy white head... great lacing.
S: Tropical fruits... sweet and boozy.. mild citrus.
T/F: Follows the nose. Light grain backbone. Sweet tropical fruits... light grapefruit and orange. Pineapple, mango, and passionfruit. Big time alcohol which is modestly masked by the hops. Balanced... dangerously drinkable. Medium bodied with a bittersweet fruity finish.
O: A really nice big 3xIPA. Loads of flavor... heavy booze, and definitely a sipper. One you want a good chunk of time to sit and savor.

22oz bottle into tulip.
A: Brilliant clear golden color with a thick and greasy off-white head that faded into an oily, bubbly, film. Thick and heavy streaks of soapy lace were left down the glass.
S: As expected, exceedingly hoppy and fragrant nose of citrus, tropical, and floral hop notes. I get scents of juicy papaya, kumquat/tangerine citrus, and a perfumey flower bouquet. Spicy and earthy undertones poke through. I maybe also get a hint of lime and melon, and I definitely get notes resinous and heavy notes of boozy and tree sap as the beer warms.
T: More resinous, spicy, and earthy than the nose let on. Tropical notes take a back seat, but there is still a solid amount of citrus. Earthy, resinous and spicy. Finish is grassy and the aftertaste is sticky, boozy, and lightly sweet.
M: Thick body, full, greasy, thick, oily, and heavy mouthfeel, with a solid punch of booze and an assertive bitterness to back it up. Carbonation is low and thick, and creates a thick chewy sensation. Booze is not necessarily hot, but all eleven alcohol points are noticeable.
O: A little boozy but I guess that is to be expected to some extent. Slightly astringent, but the flavor is solid and the nose is worth the price of admission.

Undated bottle into a tulip glass.
L: Bright golden with 2 fingers of variable density white head that had moderate retention and left sporadic lacing.
S: Very dynamic nose, earthy and floral forward with some underlying tropical notes fighting for notice. Tropical aspects become more discernable as it warms.
T: Follows the nose well with noticeable ABV heat. You need to enjoy earthiness/dankness to like this beer. Finishes with plenty of astringency and moderate bitterness.
F: Lighter bodied and moderate carbonation, some burning of the lips/tongue from the ABV and astringency. Still surprisingly easy drinking for 11%.
O: A solid BIG IPA from Knee Deep, consistent with their other recipes. Is grab it on draft again, but not sure I'll grab another bomber.
