This serves as a great reflection of the Cabarnet barrel as I got lots of wine character along with barrel qualities. Great sour funkiness, balsamic vinegar and a well blended sweetness.

Draft at the source. Dark mahogany body with a quarter inch of soapy beige head. Funk, red wine, oak, currants, spice, cranberry. Smells and tastes quite nice. Plenty sour, fruity, red wine, balsamic, cherries. Without question the best offering I've had from Mad Fox today.

About as dark a saison as you'll ever see. Nose is mild cherries with strong wood edges. Flavor is mild wood with a sweet edge that is an accent at most. Mild earthy and funk going on; nothing too out there. A fairly rich beer. Could be a bit smoother and less tight than it is, but I am enjoying it.
