On cask at brewery:
Pours a lightly hazy amber with a near white stacked medium bubble head that falls to a soap foamy cap that lasts without lacing.
Nose has a nice malt whole grain yeast-less bread note. There’s a hint of diacetyl in some whiffs. But more often the hops come as spruce to pine herbal in the tea.
A medium body to go with an easy drinking to watery feel (probably due to low carbonation from the cask). The flavors follow the nose with a toasted grain opening and an pine tea backing. There is a little honey sweetness to the tea leave aspect of the beer. This lasts up to mid-taste and the piney note comes on. It gets decently strong, but stays well integrated.
I wavered on this one. Some sips I really enjoyed, others had me being more critical. The good quaffs I might consider 4.25, the bad would be 3.5 or so, influenced by the nose. Definitely worth a try.

Single malt (?) and single hop (Comet). Clean and tasty. One of the better smash beers I've had.
