Cask @ Carlsbad Real Ale Festival 6/04
This orange brown beer is a bit murky. On a side note, I recommended it to a Carlsbad local who got it for his girlfriend, and she refused to drink it and asked for something clearer (so I recommended to Kolsch).
Aroma of malt is faint. The flavor is complex, with malt and caramel and chocolate and dark fruit. Mild. Smooth. Very tasty. Medium body. Haven't had many milds, but this was just one tasty beer.

Cask @ Real Ale Fest San Diego
The beer pulls from the cask a beclouded dark amber color, the head moderate in size, frothy in texture and a light tan in color, lace adequate to cover the glass. Nose is sweet malt, fresh and clean, nice malt presence, sweet and a fair to middling top. Finish is benign in its acidity, the hops mild and pleasing to the palate, dry aftertaste, a drinkable beer.
