Appearance: Super dark body with an infintismal head
Aroma: Carob and molasses
Flavor: Slightly sour, vinous carob bean flavor. Restrained bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with very minimal carbonation.
Drinkability: This beer is more interesting than it is delicious, I forgot I was drinking it half-way through and ordered another beer, which is not a very good sign.

Appearance: amber hue with a creamy tan head and scattered lace.
Nose: hearty malt notes with a good dose of clove, cinnamon and ginger. Lighter fruit aroma akin to plum and raisin.
Taste: caramel malt and fruity sweetness kick things off. Hints of apple among the plum and raisin flavors. Well spiced throughout with cinnamon and ginger standing out over the cloves. Malt character was much more pronounced than hops though there was a mild herbal hops bit in the finish.
Feel: medium-bodied, creamy and smooth.
Overall, a tasty brew. Alcohol content is well concealed and the tastes all blend together for easy quaffing. A nice offering by Craftsman Brewing.

Pours a hazy amber color with a thick creamy tan colored head. The nose has a spicy note of clove to it that is joined by a nice malty background component, both of which make sure that they are not passed by. The beer has a medium-bodied fullness to it, at least for a Bier De Garde. The taste is quite spicy, I get notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove (dominant), and a certain sweet component to it. There is a bit of fruitiness here as well that reminds me of apples, plums, and raisins. This is definitely interesting, and I like how the fruitiness mixes with the spices, made more remarkable by the fact that there is only supposed to be a bit of rosemary in here as far as spices go.
