On cask at Beachwood BBQ,
A: Pours a light mahogany brown, with a firm white head, good retention and lacing.
S: Smell is of caramel malt and an astringent hop bite that was a bit off-putting.
T: Taste is quite similar to the smell. Very sweet at the beginning with sugar and molasses. A bite of burnt toast and bread is in there as well. Hops have a light astringency and overall grassy character.
M: Mouthfeel is light. Cask-conditioning gives a low carbonation character with a bit of carbonic acid bite, creamy.
D: A good brown ale from Craftsman, easy to drink 12 oz. Would have again, but won't seek it out.
