On-tap at the Beachwood BBQ,

A: Pours goldenrod with a finger of white head which leaves some nice lace.

S: Honey, interesting coconut, wildflowers.

T: Definite meady character, but not overt ala Bootlegger's Spring Ale. Nice malt flavour with some nectarine/stone fruit, again honeysuckle/wildflowers.

M: Medium-bodied, has a smoothness from the honey, very easy drinking.

D: I love Braggot so I immediately ordered this beer when I saw it on-tap. It's nice that so many local brewers are experimenting with honey beers. More on the beer side than most of the braggots I've had, I love both genres. Springtime puts it perfectly, hard to imagine drinking this at any other time, a great beer for late spring.

A- hazy yellow color, little retention. Looks like a Belgian wit with a bolder yellow color.

S- really fruity and sweet nose. A lot of citrus in the nose. Grapefruit, lemon, and a little blood orange.

T- sweet like a cider but nice citrus that ties into the hops. Doesn't have too much honey character, which I like. Very refreshing beer.

M- med to med heavy. The honey def gives it some body. A little carbonation that tickles on the palate when agitated.

O- really nice braggot, easily the best one I've had.

On draft at the Small Bar in San Diego, CA. I am loving all the Craftman's brews I can find.

It looks like a golden honey brew, clear with a fluff of white head.

Sweetish smell and taste, with interesting spiciness, something like anise, pepper, and cinnamon, an intriguing combination. It's a sipper but has a bold and nicely balanced finish, with sweetness but not too much, can't tell if it's hops that balance this or just the brewers doing what they do. A nice after dinner drink, wouldn't call it refreshing, but a sipper with a nice chocolate desert.

Well made and nicely done.

Aroma is flowery with slight phenols.

Pours golden yellow with large bright white head, leaves large lacing.

Flavor is like a Belgian mead blend, flowery honey with light phenols leaves a light sweet flavor behind, leaves the mouth sweet.

Really enjoying this, well blended and really leaves pleasant flavors in the mouth, will have to get another.
