This tastes just like the Anglican church incense smells, that we inhaled earlier in the evening. A dark back of the throat flavor. Bitter aromatics of cedar with a touch of camphor. this is one sour with a lot more flavor than just the acidity.
This gets really bitter and medicinal after some sipping. It tastes like a DIPA after an operation by the mad scientist that went horribly wrong. The maltiness is just wild, like spoiled fruit and fig jam spiked with Romilar. Tremendously tart and a little harsh. On tap at Local Habit in San Diego.

On tap for Churchill's Renaissance 2013 at Churchill's Pub & Grille in San Marcos, CA.
Pours a clear brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with fruity and Brett aromas. Taste is much the same with a funky Brett flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with some weird aromas and flavors. I am not sure what the brewer was going for here.
