From my understanding, this is an experimental barrel aged stout series that is only served on-site at the taproom. It seems the locals also believe this beer can be viewed as fragments of what will ultimately become a final blend of the beer we know as Assassin.
Poured at the TG taproom, this beer tastes like a rough draft of Assassin, with marginally noticeable flaws in the beer surfacing throughout each pour, though certainly still a world class stout.

This was outstanding, and was had side by side with 2016 Assassin, Mornin' Delight, and BA Chainsmoker yesterday. In my eyes, this one took the cake and was my favorite of the four.
Pours dark and thick, with a dark brown head that hung around for quite a while. Not nearly as boozy as I thought, and smooth as the day is long. Coffee, vanilla, bourbon, all of it came out to play.
Thick and viscous mouth feel that went down so smooth.
An outstanding beer, and I'm happy TG is continuing the Term Oil series.
