On tap. Very little tan head. Black color.
Maple syrup, vanilla, oak, bourbon, caramel. Thick and syrupy. Nice coffee notes as well. Reminds me of BA MD. Coffee isn’t burnt or better. Everything is smooth and rounded out. Full bodied. Silky smooth. A bit of a pastry body. This is great.

On draft (4 pours) at Toppling Goliath brewery.
Appearance is pitch black upon pour with no foam head what so ever. Huge maple presence on the nose. That huge maple presence follows through right into the flavor (probably the most maple beer I've ever had). Some coffee and vanilla in there too. Definitely quite sweet and rich. Thank goodness for some solid barrel presence to try and balance some of that sweetness, but it is still very very maple sweet. Oily, thick mouthfeel.
Quite a delicious pastry stout. Just be ready for that sweetness.

As far as new age BA pastry stouts, this is really good. I wouldnt want more than the 5oz pour i ordered, but its tasty
Super viscous black pour. smells like a sweet maple bomb. Taste follows suit with much Less whisky flavor than expected. Body is super thick. Very very sweet. Zero raisins, or dark fruit, which i prefer
Overall this is solid, a lot like Morning delight with less coffee.
