On draft. Dark black body, oily offwhite head, good legs. Smell is nice whiskey soaked marshmallow and chocolate brownie batter, some fudge and light roast presumably from the coffee. The coffee otherwise doesn't really show up to play here. If I pretend there's no coffee in this otherwise straight barrel-aged imperial stout, I am happy with the nose here. Flavour is a bit more muddled, but there is whiskey, oak, vanillin, dark chocolate fudge as well as chocolate brownies. It's a nice fudgy stout at its base. That being said, the lack of coffee is puzzling. Mouthfeel is medium fuller bodied, good carbonation, smooth and viscous, though noticeably less so than the more notorious TG stouts. A very solid BA stout, although as stated previously, the coffee didn't really bother to show up here.
