Collaboration with Eagle Park Brewing Company

Created by Eagle Park and Toppling Goliath, Hop Hollow IPA has notes of orange and ripe peach from the use of Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe cryo hops. Ride the wave of this aromatic and hazy brew created by two landlocked breweries dreaming of the beach.

Look-pours dark golden yellow that is see through.
Smell-summer forward citrus notes
Taste - summer flavor IOA with citrus and pine flavor, good balance of hop. Not as fruit forward as other TG IPAs.
Feel- it’s a nice summer oriented IPA, it’s good but TG has better. It’s seems like it’s a toned down IPA. Yummy but missing the punch that TG has in most of its IPA’s.

22oz bottled 9-26-19, opened 11-21-19.
1st pour out of the bomber yields a 1" white head with good retention at 1/4", color is bright golden, not clear but not hazy/opaque. Beginnings of fresh and sticky lacing. Second pour is a little softer gold color and a little less bright.
Ripe peach, orange peel, faint pine - a bright, appealing nose. Second pour is a little more tropical to go along with the peach, maybe mango and mild passionfruit.
Pine and orange take center stage, zesty flavors of both. Second pour again gets a little more tropical flavor added to what's already there.
Bright entry, medium body and carbonation. Medium length finish with a soft but persistent piney bitterness.
Very good, high drinkability and flavors of a more bitter WC style but not 100% WC if that makes sense.

On tap. Clear golden yellow color. White head with a lot of lace.

Orange zest and peach. Not a haze bomb, but a nice tropical ipas. Earthy and floral but not too bitter. A light alcohol bite in the finish.

I’m not sure what this beer is trying to be. Maybe a new school west Coast IPA?
It pours dark orange and is almost clear. Smells of pineapple and mosaic hops.
Flavor follows suit. Rather bitter and slick. Similar to a west coast ipa, but it still has that mosaic holding down the ship.
Maybe they just didn’t market this beer right. But I thought this would be a NE style ipa, something both brewers do a lot of.
Maybe the surfer on the label is telling me it’s a west coast. Nevertheless, it’s just an ok version. Don’t waste $10 on this.
