Can. Hazy golden orange. White head with lace.

Soft, tropical, juicy. Mango, pineapple, orange, melon. This is smooth and easy drinking. A little sweetness. Very good.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange, piney resin and toasted caramel. Great tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 03/03/22
BEST BY: 07/01/22

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow color, with some very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, nectarine, apricot), with a very nice little diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, nectarine, apricot), with a very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

When the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts, ...that's something that smart people say and the breweries of Toppling Goliath and Untitled Art know a little something about the moniker and how it plays out in beer. Knowing that Citra, Riwaka & Sabro hops are good on their own, what if they are all put together in an IPA?

This Think Piece of a beer kicks off with a hazy golden pour with shades of orange and taupe before crowning with a rich ivory froth. A juicy scent rolls off of the foam with a bounty of citrus, tropical, herbal and melon attributes. With its first sip, its the malt profile that strikes first with a rounded sugar cookie, doughy and slightly caramelized property.

But anything that's malt dominant is short and sweet on the middle palate as those hops spring forward with the sharpness of pink grapefruit, orange peel and a hint of lime. With tropical suggestions of pineapple, mango and passionfruit following closely behind, a rounded juicy impression of cantaloup begins to form. But a late tilt toward dryness allows for a more bitter, herbal and peppery hop flavor to depart from any hazy first impression to create a drier, crisper and more resinous impression.

Medium-full in body and trending on the bitter side of malty-dry, the imperial status IPA has tremendous hop flavor and a refreshing finish with equal parts fruit peels, spruce, tea and hemp. A long and bitter aftertaste brings the session around to a more classically but smoothly bitter IPA familiarity.

Canned On: 03-03-22

A - Opaque medium golden yellow with a frothy white layer of creamy foam resting on top.

S - Passionfruit, spicy citrus rind, tropical fruit, tangerine, and spicy citrus peel.

T - Follows the nose with tropical fruit rind, some peppery spice, passionfruit, tangerine, sweet grapefruit, and a bit of oily presaence. Ends balanced with the nod towards the slightly spicier, sweeter side.

M - Big body and chewy while ending dry.

O - This is a fantastic IPA and highly recommended.

Pours light gold and hazy with a nice fluffy head and excellent lacing.

Aromas of tropical fruit, resin, weedy/chivy/herbal notes, white pepper, and even a hint of old-school diesel.

The flavors are varied yet not muddled. Tropical fruit (pineapple and mango), citrus (white grapefruit, lemon, and lime), berry (blackberry and raspberry) white stone fruit (peach), pale/crackery malt, pine, chive, and dank/weedy notes. The conclusion is deceptively juicy.

Medium bodied, smooth and creamy. A lingering yet drying finish.

Definitely a line-straddle, and a good one at that. Juicy NEIPA flavors (especially at the finish) are definitely present, yet it doesn't hit juice-bomb territory, because the piney/dank hops are so present.

Superbly done as expected by two great breweries. Head is thick and viscous. Nose is citrusy and pineapple. Taste is similar to most all Ne style IPAs.

16oz. can into a Founders snifter.

Looks like pulp-free orange juice with a 1 finger rich white head. Nose is a dank tropical fruit, grass, pineapple, starfruit, and grapefruit notes. Not quite as fresh with a nice earthiness. Beer opens pine, citrus, grapefruit, and starfruit. A touch of resin in the middle. Lightly grassy, big citrus sweetness. Fluffy with some pineapple, more starfruit, and more citrus on the finish. Big cane sugar on the aftertaste. Body is light with moderate to ample carbonation. Fluffy and prickly on the palate and goes down crisp, dry, and refreshing. Bone dry finish that lingers.

Very solid with great balance. The aftertaste is a touch on the sweet side though.

16oz can fill dated 3/3/22 into a pint glass.
L: Pours hazy frosty pale yellow with a 3/4" foamy head, good retention, minimal carbonation and light lacing.
S: Diesel, dank earthy grassy hops & hop oil, citrus, pineapple, light tropical fruits, a suggestion of bread. Pine resin in the semi-fast lingering finish.
T: Dank hops, citrus & citrus rind esp lemon/lime, caramelized malts, pineapple, grassy, white bread dough, moderately sweet and tangy. Light alcohol as the beer warms.
F: Medium to med-heavy bodied soft juicy mouth feel with a centralized clean flavor that has a short linger and is gently drying.
O: Another excellent beer from a super collaboration of two world-class breweries. An American Double IPA that is excellent in it's style.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a thin collar around teh edge.
S: Moderate aromas of coconut and cream are present in the nose along with notes of gooseberry and kumquat.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of lime. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, juicy and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has a nice balance between the flavors of the hops; I particularly enjoyed those imparted by the Sabro.
