12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It left thin lacing. It smelled of tart green apple, caramel and sweet creaminess. Very tart green apple with sweet caramel.

Very pale in color with cloudiness or hazy appearance. Nose is as you would expect, caramel and apple, most apple. Taste was as nose, very much sour apple and caramel. Definitely brought back memories of eating caramel apples.
Not my thing but glad I tried it.

On tap at The Brass Tap, Cedar Falls, IA; served in a 5-ounce snifter. Slightly cloudy orange in color, with a thick white head that left lots of sticky lacing. Aromas and flavors of caramel apple, and they nailed it. There is also a note of salinity on the palate. Not too sweet, with pleasant tartness and a clean finish. This is the first one I've tried from TG's Fandango lineup, and it is a dandy. Highly recommended for beer drinkers and non-beer drinkers alike.

Never ones late to the party, Toppling Goliath is bringing a special dance of flavors to the fall festival.

Caramel Apple Fandango starts with a glowing golden and straw-stained hue. Nearly sparkling in its slightly hazy depths, the beer simply seems to glow. A tantalizing array of orchard fruit captures the essence of cidr with hints of caramel, citrus and white wine. Early sweetness coats the early palate first with bold suggestions of caramel, sourdough and honey.

As the flavors billow on the middle palate, the sweetness soon gives way to a flood of juiciness. Apple leads the way with background notes of orange, pear, lemon and gooseberry soon to come. The natural sourness brings its own citrusy zing of lemon and white grapefruit with a slim bitterness that dovetails with the acidity quite well. White grape, green apple and fruit acids round out the late taste with a surprisingly refreshing and brisk character.

Full bodied early but drying to a medium-full mouthfeel by the finish, the beer shows a bold transition throughout the session while showcasing a heavy fruitiness of pulp and puree while satisfying the thirst with cleansing acidity to close. A brief afterglow of white wine, semi-sweet cider and light caramel begs for a next quick sip.

What a surprise in a sour. Caramel Apple surprises with a cider taste in a sour formula. Very drinkable and pleasant. Another beer TG knocks out of the park!

Hazy cider colored brew with just a minimal white head.
The aroma is sweet caramel and tart apple.
The taste is also a blend of sweet caramel and tart apple, very authentic, just like liquid caramel apple but with a nice tart balance to the sweetness.
The body is medium/full, smooth, moderate carbonation, very drinkable.
Altogether, this hardly seems like beer but it is an excellent take on caramel apples, very enjoyable for a cool fall day, or an adult Halloween treat.
