The long-awaited return of Rush Hollow Maple Ale is finally upon us. Originally a seasonal of ours, this rustic, golden-colored ale utilizes pure maple syrup, some of which still comes from the Rush Family Farm in Allamakee County. Expect a slightly warming, full-bodied ale with a hint of maple in the finish.

Attractive orange,ruby tinted appearance
Light carbonation with about a medium body
Aroma is definitely maple syrup but it comes off fresh and real and not artificial at all. I also get raisin, bread and maple candy
Taste again is a strong hit of maple syrup but there is some bitter hops that weren't noticeable in the aroma. For me there is also raisin bread which is odd but pleasant
Overall its a maple syrup fans type of beer but well done and comes off real and not artificial at all.

On tap at Sabatinis in Exeter pa late this afternoon.
Hazy dark yellow body. Small head, thin rings of lacing. Fantastic aroma, maple syrup, floral, smooth spice. On tasting, sweet without cloying, very warming, there is a spice feel without actual spices. Finish is a mild sweet booze, very smooth.
Overall, really enjoyed this one, a great change of pace from my usual beers.

A - Pours out a slightly hazy golden body, white head, fading quickly to a thin cap and rim, with extensive fine line lacing.
S - Maple explodes through the nose, earthy minerality below, apple skin and floral notes.
T - Follows the nose, with insanely bright maple notes and sweetness, with a touch of tannic tea bitterness, and a lingering finish.
M - Soft feel, some alcohol warmth, mild carbonation, trailing slickness.
O - Not at all what I expected, this was a maple bomb, but in a way I do fine approachable. Sweet, with just enough bitterness to keep this drinkable.

Pours a brownish yellow (as if you added some maple syrup to a golden ale), with very little head. Smells of maple and caramel, and tastes strongly of both (you can really taste the maple!), though not overpowering. Well-balanced flavor, with some bready malt, and a bit of sour hops. Light carbonation, slightly creamy mouthfeel. The alcohol is warming but not dominant. Delicious!

Pours a lot more clear than I expected. Color is amber like an unfiltered honey. Head was white, with a slight splash of tan. Nose is very much maple syrup. Aftertaste is sort of tobacco like, but not offensive. Very good beer.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours clear golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a thin film on top
S- aroma initially smells like banana runts candy, followed by maple, toffee & caramel. Hints of brown sugar & toasted grain
T- flavor is a showcase of maple, sweet and bold, but not overpowering. It provides undertones of caramel & toffee, along with hints of vanilla. The finish gives more sweet maple with a malty sweet finish, lingers of maple and toffee
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a slightly warming finish

A - Medium reddish gold color with thin lacing and very minimal carbonation.
S - Big maple and caramel malt aroma.
T - Big caramel and maple from start to finish while finishing on the sweeter side.
M - Medium body with soft carbonation.
O - A little confusing reviewing this beer because it appears Toppling Goliath changed the recipe and the previous version with the same name was a Saison. C'mon TG, quit messin' with us.

Rush Hollow pours a brighter bronze color, with a small, but long-lasting head. The aroma is very strong maple. The flavor is very strong, and sweet maple notes. Strong flavors with a great feel. Overall, an amazing beer if you really like maple.
