(review from 5/31/25) Canned 5/12/25.Very well balanced 2X NE-kinda ipa w/good mouthfeel; thickish haze; nice hoppy bite; a citrusy/juicy flavor & a lovely lingering aftertaste. Very smooth fooler of an 8.5%er & dangerously quaffable

Pours a hazy orange with a 2F head and moderate lacing.
Smells of slightly dank floral and herbal hops with citrus.
Tastes of lightly tart grapefruit , orange and honeydew with a lightly bitter, salty and boozy warm finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth (oats?) mouthfeel.
This juicy and bitter brew is a bit assertive but all good for me.

Tasted on tap at The Craft Bar in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
This beer had a good appearance for the style, with cloudy, light straw color and fluffy white head. Strong aromas of tropical fruit are reflected in the major flavor component, but there are also some citrus and herbal elements in the hop flavors. Mouthfeel is fairly thick, as expected, but it is lacking in the sweetness from malt that is customary in the Imperial Hazy IPA style. The hops bitterness is also more assertive than typical, reinforced by some alcohol heat. Overall, this beer is not the big, mellow fruit bomb that most of this style are, having some sharp, hoppier edges. I still found it very enjoyable.

16oz can poured into a tulip
A- pours a hazy golden orange with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring
S- hop notes of white grape, peach, kiwi, mango, melon & tangerine. Just a hint of underlying bready malt
T- white grape and peach lead the way, followed by zesty grapefruit, tangerine, cantaloupe & green melon. The finish gives more white grape with citrus zest and melon on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a slightly creamy finish

A 76 day from packaging rating. My guess is this is significantly better as a freshie. A generalist HHJ at this point ("generally" citrusy, "generally" tropical). Earthy notes dominate. A good one, yes! But shelf life matters...
