Found this beer in a supermarket in Florence while traveling through Europe. I had no idea Italy had a developing microbrewery scene. These are the brief notes I took while in Florence...
A medium/dark brown colour with fairly small white head that dies pretty quickly.
Aromas of caramel, lightly roasted malt, chocolate. Nice.
Taste is earthy, a little oak flavour, some roasted malt, and sweet tangy fruit. Really delicious.
Carbonation is a bit high but doesn't detract from drinkability.
Definitely one of the better Scottish ales that I've had.
