Pours deep amber with a fading head.
Nose shows caramel, toasty malt and soft floral hops. Not too bad, a little faint though.
Flavours introduce ginger and astringent lemon to the mix, ruining what could have been a pleasant, malty beer.
Needs more carbonation.

This is billed as a summer ale but the website states that it is brewed with local honey and ginger.
Clear, yellow colour with a small, white head. Poor head retention.
Mild, spicy and fruity aroma. The ginger is distinguishable once you know it is there and there are some nice, light fruit notes in the background.
Crisp and easy to drink. The malt is a little grainy with a mild honeyed finish. The ginger is refreshing and not at all overpowering. Mild fruit esters again. This is very pleasant and a nice summer drink.
Medium to medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Silky.
A nice, clean, refreshing beer with some good spice and flavour. Overall it is a very mild beer but I can see why this works.
