330ml, rather fancy and chic green Champagne-style bottle.
This beer pours a clear, bright golden straw colour, with four fingers of aggressively foamy, bubbly, and somewhat fizzy bone-white head, which leaves a bit of scattered sudsy lace around the glass as it slowly ebbs away. The swirling vortex of effervescence looks pretty neat, too.
It smells of grainy and crackery pale malt, further cereal-like sweetness, a touch of gasohol, overripe lemon rind, and sassy leafy, grassy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy pale malt, a hint of biscuity caramel, ethereal petrol notes, muted citrus peel, and more edgy herbal, floral, and wet grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite solid in its roaming and thorough frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth, just a bit of hop acridity taking the sheen off of the results here. It finishes trending dry, but in a nice crackery malt manner, with the aiding and abetting of the lingering verdant hops.
Overall, Hawke's Bay produces a very true to style (with maybe a suggestion of German influence) Bohemian pilsener, one that is tasty, easy to drink, and refreshing. Too bad about the around 7 bucks a bottle that this one goes for around here, after traversing the entirety of the Pacific Ocean, and then some.

Comes in a posh 330mL champagne style bottle. BB date 3 months past, but lets see how it goes.
A - Golden, clear, purs thin white head that fades to a thin lacing very quickly
S - Grassy herbal odours of a typical pilsener, slight malt. I've got a blocked nose at the mo so aroma may be stronger than Im picking up
T - Slightly sweet fruity flavours (pineapple) with a malt backbone. The noble hop bitterness is present, but slightly more reserved than a typical pilsener.
M - Crisp, moderate carbonation and nice medium body. Goes down well.
O - I liked it, the bitterness wasn't as obvious as other pilseners, but the malty backbone and fruity tinge and crispness made this a great friday after work beer. Almost like a lager.

Pours amber with a small, fading head.
Nose shows sweet clean malt, grassy, spicy hops and faint vegetal notes.
Flavours are similarly plain, with spicy hops and sweet light malt the main characters, along with some cardboard notes.
Body is suitably light.
