Pours black with a small light tan head.
Nose shows golden syrup, sweet syrupy English malt with toffee notes, very soft roast and light orange marmalade characters. Very English!
Roastier flavours, although a lot of the sweet remains. Golden syrup, plain roasted malt and some resinous and piny hops.
Carbonation is too high.

Very tasty beer with milk chocolate and citrus notes, from the hops, mixing together well.
aroma is dominated by milk chocolate. Taste: again, big milk chocolate with spice, slight citrus (orange and grapefruit) and slight berries and wine.
the hop presence seemed to come more into play once it had opened up later on.

Clear, very dark brown colour. Small, tan head. Great lacing but only fair head retention.
Dank and dusky NZ hops. Lightly nutty. Not really fantastic on the nose.
Lightly roasty and bitter with a great herbal note. Almost tannic. Smooth NZ hop flavour.
Medium body with moderately-high carbonation. Great.
Excellent beer. Easy drinking but still complex. Exactly what I expect of a Kiwi beer.
