Special cask version brewed at Wadworth for Wetherspoons.
Gold colour with a bready and floral nose. The breadiness is apparent on the first sip but then the hops take over, more spicy and oniony than anticipated. Good.

Appearance -
Clear golden colour, pours a moderate and sustained 1 cm head which is quite thick and foamy, plenty of lacing. Little carbonation.
Smell -
Hop resin, mango, raisins, carrot cake, sticky white wine.
Taste-
Hops front and centre - quite bitter grapefruit at first with a yeasty body. Slight earthy, cut grass after taste. Mineral water qualities. Clean and dry. A hint of a sticky white wine flavours as per the nose, and slight mango.
Mouthfeel -
Light bodied, little carbonation. Clean and dry taste. Very easy to knock down and refreshing on a hot day after a run.
Overall-
Some interesting flavours, well balanced and refreshing. A bit more subdued than expected. However, offers a bit more complexity than your average English pale.

330ml bottle, poured into tulip glass.
L - golden, clear, thin white head that fades quickly into a thin lacing.
S - A very alluring chewy toffee/creamy fudge odour mixed with apricots and peach. The most definite toffee odour that Ive smelt in a beer.
T - well balanced - cereal malts (some wheat in there), slight toffee like sweetness, and tropical fruits (passionfruit, apricots) and sweet wine towards the finish.
F - well carbonated, slick texture, medium bodied.
O - well balanced, complex beer. Toffee flavours and tropical fruits blend together as well as I've ever tasted.
