Smoke IPA with chili pepper.
Clean amber, beautiful beige foam.
Smoked smell (smoked chestnuts?), and hop notes. And a lot of chili pepper.
Again in the taste, chili pepper and smoked. It is apossibly absurd idea, but the result is interesting. For sure, a bit extreme.
The chili pepper is very long in the aftertaste.
Peculiar, weird, but interesting.

This is a good novelty beer that stands by itself, i.e. it would be good even if the novelty became the norm.
Look: At the darker end of the IPA spectrum. Weak head.
Smell: The smokiness is there, more than the hops.
Taste and feel: As with the smell, the smokiness is there more than the hops. The hops are, I think, weaker than a normal NZ IPA, but this is made up for with the smoked malt in terms of flavour. I get a hint of the flavour of the chillis that are listed in the ingredients, but don't feel their heat. Lightly carbonated.
