Hix Pale Ale is a unique brew blending local pale ale malt with ‘New World’ hops to create a drink for any occasion. It is copper in colour with a caramel sweetness which is balanced with bitterness and aromatics from the hops. A style which is earning a cult following.

L- burnt orange, hazy, frothy white head
S- earthy yeast,malt biscuits, caramel
T- biscuit malts dominate, caramel, bread yeast, candi sugar. Sweet.
M- moderate carbonation and body.
O- more like a sweet bitter than a pale ale. Not too shabby.

Pours orange/amber with a large, fading head.
Nose shows light fruit (apple, pears) along with some soft caramel.
Similar flavours with more fruity hops, caramel, butterscotch. Also some faint toasty malt leading to a bold bitterness.
Very easy-drinking stuff.
