The bottle says this is called Jurand "Extra", but since the reviews seem to somewhat describe this beer, I'll go with reviewing under "Mocne".

6% abv, pours orange-golden without much head, pretty much as expected.

I've never come across a beer (maybe Bud Light) that has less aroma. I can pick up the faintest pale grains, that's stretching it.

There's a hint of corn and apple in the flavor, not much, clean until it hits the weak and unclean finish. I like their Premium better, while it's not any cleaner, at least it has some character.

Another great value, under-rated Polish beer.

Pours a deep straw-gold color with a big bubbled fluffy white head.

Aroma is very pleasing pilsner malts, grainy, floral and grassy hops, a very slight bready banana yeast.

Taste follows the nose with a great hop aftertaste and finish. Great balance of flavors between malts, hops and yeast. Not unique or surprising but tasty.

Smooth and balanced with medium carbonation.

A touch on the mild side and not of a strong character, but that makes it very drinkable. If you find the hops of a classic pils too bitter this would be a great alternative. The 7% is hidden well and makes this a prime candidate for getting your buzz on.

This beer comes in a 500 ml bottle with no freshness date that I could find. The 7.0% abv. listing is at the lowest end of the scale for most Euro Strong Lagers. Be careful with the pour. The beer pours a slightly hazy medium gold color but the head on this beer is incredible. I would say 80% of the glass was filled with white bubbly head. The head will dissipate within a minute leaving only a minimum of lacing.

It has a light nose that smells like bread and sweet caramel. I couldn't detect any other smell and it didn't have any alcohol smell to it at all.

The taste is mainly sweet caramely malt, but not an overpowering sweetness. Not much else in the taste until the finish when a slight hops bitterness kicks in as well as some noticeable alcohol in the swallow.

The beer is medium bodied with low carbonation and is best drunk really cold as warming makes this a really flat beer. It's OK, but not an exceptional beer, but it's low $1.49 price makes it affordable and worth a try.

Pours golden-amber in color, with a uniform, slightly off-white head of medium duration. Lacing is evident and indicative of a malty brew with a bigger than average initial gravity. Nose is dominated by a sweet, bready aroma, with the barest hints of caramel and molasses and no hop presence to speak of*. Mouthfeel is smooth and the beer is moderately full-bodied. Carbonation is light and lively on the first sip, not over-carbonated. Starts out a little on the sweet side, but is balanced by a pleasant tanginess and a very low and lingering bitterness. Aromatic notes of sour apple and pear, which strikes me as something less typical of a lager, but doesn't distract from the overall drinkability. No off-flavors to speak of, only a mild lingering bitterness and mild malty aftertaste. Alcohol is well-hidden, emerging towards the end of the palate. *Finishes rather dry - I like that in a beer of this strength! Overall I prefer this brand to the other imports in the same (Mocne) style that I've tried, and the 12 pack makes an already solid and readily (dangerously?) drinkable beer an even better value.

Clear dark gold; tall white fluffy, whipped foam tops the body. Good lacing qualities with sticky thick sheeting. Keeps a good skim throughout the session. Aroma is clean and pleasant of fresh cut grass and light corn-like sweetness. Taste is also clean; crisp too, fairly light embodyment of sweetish malt, corn bread, fluffed grain, and dry grass. Very light and leveled with its taste upfront but builds gracefully as it heads into the finish where most of its action takes place. Fades to a finely placed drying in the finish with a small surge of grassy herbs. Feel is moderately carbonated, crisp, clean, with a lightly creamy light/medium body. No off flavors really. There is a moderate amount of malts coming across but doesn't offer much flavor profile, its more alligned in the body before it does the taste. Just a tad boring but drinkable enough for what it offers as a lager.

Clear cheaper grade bourbon color, lighter than amber. Pillow-like white head of fairly big bubble sizes and average duration. Laces in collars and some strings. Grassy aroma, slightly lactic with adjunct-like syrupy sweetness. Mouthfeel is lighter than medium. Alcohol noticeable but not overwhelming. Flavor doesn't work for me, a bad take on stale cigarette butts and sweat socks, distinctly jarring just close to the swallow. There's just something sharp and funky that really comes out on this one (everyone's telling me I should love this brew) -- there's a ton of beers I'd take over this one, especially renditions on cold-fermented darker styles from former Communist countries.

500 mL brown glass bottle. Dark gold/copper color, clear, with lots of visible carbonation. A gigantic head tops this beer, after a somewhat aggressive pour. Smell is grain and grass with perceptable alcohol. Taste is big and rich, large amount of grassy malts are the order of the day with this beer. You can sure taste the alcohol, not a bad thing, with a nice hops finish. I am actually impressed with this beer, one of the best high abv euro lagers I have tried, much better than most of it's Eastern European counterparts.
