Copenhagen 24/7 2025. 50 cl bottle from REWE, RĂ¼gen-Galerie, Sassnitz. Simple blue and white beer label with a red logo and declarations about the German Reinheitsgebot.
Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Stable. Settles as a thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately strong but gets stronger as the beer warms up. Sweet malty odor mingling with a subdued grainy and sour scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and bit cardboard. Citrus and grains.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a salty touch. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit nondescript.

Appearance: Golden, clear, effervescent, small head
Aroma: Delicate, honey-like
Taste: Tangy, smooth, not bad for a pale lager (not my favorite style).
Remarks: Drank this at a restaurant in Triberg, in the Black Forest, from the tap
Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

Brown half-litre bottle: best before 11th Dec 2012, drank on 20th July 2012, the third 'Ratskrone' beer of the tasting evening.
Light golden body, clear, bright and clean looking: full, deep head of white bubbles sat majestically on top.
Nose is a bit 'iffy', some metallic hints and hop extract aromas.
The taste is on the sweet side, not sure if it is a malt induced sweetness or added sugar, I suspect the later (although it has been brewed to 'Dem Deutschen Reinheitsgebot'). No metallic flavours in the mouth, glad about that!
Maybe I'm being unkind: this isn't as bad as I appear to have stated and it is certainly a whole lot better than the 'Premium Pilsner' from Ratskrone.

A rather pleasant surprise from this bottle, nice flavor and very drinkable. The half liter disappeared before I knew it. I'd seen this int he supermarkets, and wasn't expecting much... nice mild flavor, the grains come through. In an area dominated by Bitburg, this is a far better pilsener to enjoy. Once again, the "export" label gives it a higher alcohol content, thoroughly enjoyable!
