24th Aug 2012: second beer in a ’random beer tasting evening’ at my house. 500ml bottle best before 22 Nov 2012 and poured into a Franziskaner glass. Pale, cloudy and usual rising bubbles to the roof: the nose was full of vanilla with yeast and mild banana esters. The body had an almost aggressive fizzy tang to it, the flavours being simular to the aroma, but light in strength. Sadly as it warmed a little it began to give off a metallic feel and I then remembered it was in fact a cheap supermarket beer and it showed. Should have drank it faster maybe?
