A - Pours a somewhat lackluster caramel hue, with minimal head and lace.
S - Nice aroma. Some sweet vanilla and oak notes are punctuated by earthy and herbal hop.
T - There is a strong grain presence here, though it isn't what I usually think of as 'malty.' The taste has more of a Grape Nuts toasted barley dominance; the continental hop cannot assert itself in juxtapostion. Despite the barley-forward flavor, I think it tastes pretty good. It has a lot of sweet flavors without actually being sweet
M - Fairly lively; not really bad or good, in terms of feel.
D - This is a pretty nice Barleywine; certainly worth a try.
