Craft beer produced by Mikhail Ershov, the Chief Brewmaster of Moscow Brewing Company. His recipes can startle the most exquisite beer connoisseur. This ale is a top fermented product brewed in limited volumes using Citra and Cascade hops. Mokhnaty Shmel Ale can be classified as a craft beer. Today craft beer is growing into a powerful category in the USA and Europe. The fact that Mikhail Ershov had invented not only the taste, but also the name, and even the label emphasizes the “Craft” grade.

Deep, amber color. Big, off-white head. Toasted malt, bread, and herbal hops in the aroma. Malty taste with decent hoppy bitterness and some astringency at the end.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.
Faint and pale khaki colored head. Creamy looking at just under three fingers tall, and nearly nitrous with very tiny bubbles. Exceptionally clear bodied beer, bright copper red and nearly crystal in appearance.
Muted nose a bit, but not terribly. Faint touches of caramel malt, a bit of sensing wet body, and a bit of astringency and not determinable sort of bitterness on the nose. Has a faint candy wafer chocolate note as well which is nice.
Palate seems a bit playing safe. Bit of a wet mouthfeel not too terribly, but an interesting flavor combo. Fleeting grain, and wet caramel on first sip, followed by flavors of cookie and biscuit like malt. The finish brings a very obvious chocolate sense, very much like milk chocolate in taste dramatically. Lingering biscuit malt aftertaste, and a faint fruit hop angle as well.
Very interesting tasting amber, but lacks a bit of body. Fixing the mouthfeel I think could really give this a boost and make it considerably better, but it's still a drinkable brew for sure.

Pours clear orange color with 1 finger tall head. The smell is fruity and hoppy, apricot jam and honey. The taste is more bready, with a good hint of lemon and great honey finish after a minute or so. It's medium-bodied and crispy. All in all I've got more than I expected.
