Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark malts, a bit of brown sugar and a touch of dark fruits. Taste starts with burnt sugar, a bit of roasted malt character, gets more bitter towards the finish and lingers with toasted grains flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it's a well made, clean tasting altbier but not something really special.

L: Dark dark murkey brown, little head, no lacing
S: Metallicy, toasted malts, chocolate, earthy tones
T: Malty sweet with slightest hint of fruit like apples and oranges, toasted malt flavor to finish
F: Starts off a little carbonated then smooths out and goes down well
O: A beer that plays it safe, no big wow flavors or things special about this beer. Its a solid beer that would be good with a roast beef. I enjoy it and will leave it at that.

Bier #3 during my visit to Giesinger on 23SEP15. A 0.33l bottle set me back €5.40.
Poured the contents into a Teku tulip, and it was a deep, dark brown, mostly opaque. Had a light tan head which was mostly wispy and thin, with ok lacework. Aroma was mild, with light roastiness being most evident. Body was medium, and the feel was solid, with only light prickle present.
Flavor was roasty and a touch bitter, with a smidge of cocoa and a light finishing dose of florality. A different bier, more like a Munich Dunkel than an Alt, imo. Prosit!
