Brown color with tan head. Aroma has roasted malt and some burnt rye bread crust. Taste starts malty with a hint of brown sugar but gets more roasty and slightly bitter and ashy on the finish. Body is quite light and has a medium carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer but it's not really true to style.

This was the 4th, and last, bier I sampled on my 23SEP15 Giesinger visit. Cost me €5.40 for a 0.33l bottle.
Poured into a Teku tulip, this one was a deep chestnut/mahogany hue. Head was thin and beige in color, fine and wispy, with light lacing. Had a nice roasty choco nose inviting you in. Body was a solid medium-plus and it was very smooth on the tongue.
Hitting the palate were dark choco, coffee, and roasty bitterness. Rye was easily detected, with a distinct spicy character. The finish was dry and a bit earthy. A nice brew; easily the best I had on that day. Prosit!!
