Giesinger Bräu "Schankbier"
3,40€/,5L brown glass bottle with the label notched "Mindestens halter bis ende: 1 18 S" at the brewery on 20.09.2017
Notes: 3.8% abv. Brewed with Pils, Vienna, and light caramel malts. Dry hopped with Calypso, Tradition, Saphir, and Hopsteiner 06277. Hazy amber-orange body beneath a fluffy head of white that exhibits excellent head retention and lacing. Moderate aroma of floral, softly spicy and herbal, and lightly fruity/citrusy hops. The flavor is fuller with a lightly sweet grainy maltiness that's got a touch of caramel and nuttiness to it, and notes of apple, sweet lemon, flowers, and a hint of spice and herbs. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes dry and short-lingering with some residual spiciness and herb. Light-medium in body and gently crisp. Nicely done.

On tap at the brewery. Clear straw color with fluffy white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy with grassy and citrusy notes. Taste starts hoppy and bitter upfront, floral and grassy with a very clean malt profile. Finish is even more bitter and lingers on the aftertaste with yellow grapefruit flavor. Light body with crisp carbonation. Really nice, easy drinking, fresh, hoppy session beer.
