I enjoyed this while sitting outside on a sunny, pleasant early March day. It pours a clear but dark reddish-brown color with a thick, small-bubbled off-white head. The aroma has a wonderful nutty, lightly roasted malt character. The taste is well balanced with more of the malt qualities. Medium in body and very drinkable. Nice.

Poured into pils glass. Thin cream colored head on a ruby brown body.
Sweet bready nose.
Taste is surprisingly a little sweeter, toffee, caramel, a dark fruit note on the finish.
Pretty undramatic medium mouth.
Surprisingly complex little Munich dunkel. Yum.

500mL bottle pours a rich medium-to dark brown color with a substantial light brown head that keeps on growing slowly but steadily to a tall dome even after I stopped pouring? Never seen that before, definitely well carbonated. Smells of dark bread, toasty malts. Flavor is very nice: lots of dark, toasty malts and brown bread, toffee, caramel, honey, and probably the strongest and most complex fruit notes I've ever tasted in a Dunkel. Medium body, moderate sweetness, minimal bitterness, bubbly mouthfeel, and a soft, slow finish that proceeds from sweet to fruity to a restrained bitter cocoa note at the close.
This was one of the best dunkels I've had, certainly up there with the Göller offering. What the Göller has in soft, rich cocoa notes, this Giesinger has in remarkable, complex fruit notes. Will be buying again.

Dark brown with a reddish hint color the murky pour, two fingers of beige foam head, bands of lacing. Aromas of the traditional malt, but the yeast is wispy with the brown bread notes, mild vague dark fruit. Taste is much the same, getting caramel, raisin, and brown bread accents but nothing takes the lead. Feel is clean and simple with malt and yeast both represented, lighter.

Aroma is husky/very beery German malts/lager yeast. The flavor is fruit/citrus, slightly nutty/big toasted malts and a beery/bitter noble hop finish.

16.9 oz bottle from John’s poured into stein! Nutty brown, even better as it warms.

Bottled 3/3/25; drank 6/11/25 @ the Yarchives.
Mostly opaque brown/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy tan head which quickly dissipated; almost no lacing remained.
Caramel & autumn leaf notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & autumn leaf flavors.
This was true to style, but muted. Not one I'll go out of my way for, but I'd have another.

500ml bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lace. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee and caramel. Sweet caramel malt with bread notes and a mild bitterness.

At Stehausschank near Viktualienmarkt. A proper Giesinger pub. A tasty dunkles. Rich, roasty, malty. It’s all there. Earthy, charred malt dominates. Drinkability is solid. A good example of the style, not mind blowing.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Jugando a Fortnite con Asun hija. Dunkel muy bien hecha, altisimamente bebible. Proporcionando justo lo que uno espera del estilo. Lo malo es que se acaba muy pronto

Strong alcoholic smell from the bottle but gets weaker and almost disappears once poured. I'd say this is the beer's weak point.
Dark brown chocolatey colour with a slowly and reluactantly forming, fast-to-disappear sort of thick-ish foam.
The taste is dry and sour. Kind of reminds you of the stouts but with much weaker streaks of chocolate smell in it. The first impression is mediocre but slowly evolves in your mouth and gets nicer and nicer.
All in all quite a good attempt at a dark beer, but I'd say there's room for improvement.
