Malty golden beer.
Big foam up in the tall glass, so I poured the rest in a wide chalice. Slight beer aroma from the glass. Rather sweet and malty, but also sharp. Distinctly grainy flavors. You wouldn't call it refined. Carbonation lasts well. In the nose, I get more funky notes that don't belong in a Bock style. They call this one "American Bock" but it's on its way to being Belgian. There is a slight sourness and acidity that don't give me a good feeling.
Bought the 22 oz bottle in Denver at Grapevine Liquor for under $5.
